summer's here

Hair cuts all around.  Its been a long battle but they finally got it chop off.  wow looking at the photos they really had long hair.  so funny.

Britton made a comp. lacrosse team  we are traveling all over each weekend for him to play.  I hope he likes it, cause its a lot of work and time away from his being board.  He is getting to be quite the good little lacrosse goalie.
My summer is filled with Young women's activities every Wed night I get to hang out with these darling girls.  Its so fun to have some girl time. I just wish I was not so old and tired LOL
I did get my new chandler  go over to my theglitzypear.blogspot.com to see more photos. I love doing little things to get my house finished.  It is along process and will  take years but I can see progress and I love that a few rooms are coming together.

Bry and I celebrated our 22 anniversary wow that sounds like a long time ha ha.  Its been hard but what marriage isn't.  we have four beautiful children a cute house our health and a great family.  we couldn't be more blessed to have what we have.  I'm so lucky to have such a great guy.  We went to see Peter Beinhot in concert it was a great night with sushi music and stars!
Off to the beach with some friends.  we had a great time eating and shopping and just being lazy.  I think this life would be so hard if we didn't have good friends.  We some one to laugh with and non judgmental shoulders to cry on.  Thanks friends for being there for me.

Youth conference was a blast for the kids.  Tanner had such a fun time, funny thing was that it was an  Olympics for the special needs and yet Tanner only wanted to be apart of our Youth.  He did participate but wore a blue (for our youth) instead of a red shirt (special needs)  It cracked up the leaders that he is so predigest against special needs, to him he does not have anything wrong with him.

Tanner dancing the night away at the final activity of the week.  He was so funny, but he was so tired from all the fun of the week that he left after just and hour.

Tanners Birthday

Tanner was in for a big surprise last night.  We threw him a surprise party for his 18th birthday.  He has talked about this day for the entire year.  He had know idea that so many people would come and celebrate with him.  When we turned on the lights and yell surprise he almost started to cry he was so happy, but usual Tanner fashion he struck a pose and started hamming it up.
So many darling friends, the ward, neighbors, football boys, swim team friends.  I'm so blessed that so many people are helping to raise and love my guy.  What would I do without you? Thank you is not enough to express my love for these exceptional people!

Maddi is talking Tanner to Sadie Hawkins, isn't her boy friend so sweet for letting her? Love those Holt's!!
Pin the football on Tanner and the face painting went over well, but mostly we just played ball and hung out.
Oh the swim gang.  How we love them.  Tanner misses swim but is now in the thick of Baseball going to Soph, Jr. and Sr. games.  He loves all sports, and how blessed I am that there are so many kids willing to help him, drive him home, and take care of him when I can't be there.

Tanner sneaking in a kiss when ever he gets a chance what a Lady's man.  Sorry Jessi for the sloppy kiss, your such a great sport.
Tanner is obsessed with supper hero's, so of course his friends got him a cute mask and shield which I'm sure he will not take off!!
Harrison his best buddy!!!  If it wasn't for this guy Tanner would be a mess next year.  All the kids are leaving on missions and moving on from High School and yet Harrison wants to take him to Utah football practice and keep him active!!  I just want to cry with the love I feel for Harrison and all the others who love my boy. You will be so blessed in heaven for all your service you do for him.  I don't know how I got so lucky to have all you wonderful people surrounding me, and Tanner. Thank you Thank you for all you do!  Happy Birthday Tanner

Tanners big night

I don't know what it is about having a child with special needs.  One minute you are wondering  if you are ever going to make it through the day and the next is an amazing experience that gives you a glimpse of a bigger picture.

Tanner is a very social child and is always wanting to hang out at Maddi's house or go over to Bommers.  So I try very hard to keep him busy with sports special needs YM our ward YM and scouts.  Its Tanners Sr. year at Alta and with it comes Sr. banquets and lots of sadness for Tanner at times. He thinks he is going to the U to play football with Harrison Handley, its so hard to tell him this is it.

At the Sr Banquet Harrison won an award  "The Impact Player of 2012"  Your not a kidding!  He is a super star, all the little leaguers look up to him, he's kind, he's put together, and he's smart!  This darling boy who seems to have it all has one more thing, the most important thing i think a person should possess a kind heart.  He took Tanner under his wing in football, made him feel special like one of the boys.  He treated him like any other player and for this I will be forever grateful.

But to show you the real character of this boy you have to know this.  After he won his big award this big cool trophy that he can show his kids.... He quietly said thank you, walked down from the front and walked up to tanner and said this trophy is for you buddy and gave him a hug and a high five.  Not many people saw that not many people knew what he had done.  Tanner couldn't put the trophy down he kept kissing it saying "me and Harrison" (he even slept with it).
                                                                   (Cole Meyers)
We went over to Harrison after the banquet and said there is no way we can take this!! He said Tanner is one of his best friends and he was honored to give it to him.  I cried all the way home, I was so filled with gratitude for loving football players.  It was a highlight in my life as well.

                                                                      (Chipper)
When Tanner was born I was told I will have my highest highs and my lowest lows.  Well we have had our share of Lows, but this was a high  The highest of highs, the epitome of love and respect and friendship I never thought Tanner would ever have from someone outside our family.  I'm so grateful for these Alta football players, Chipper, Cole, Carson, Alex  there are too many to count and so many I don't even know who befriend Tanner.  To you there are no word of gratitude my heart is too full of love for you. Thank you for being who you are and loving Tanner, you will forever be etched in my heart!
