Chicken Spaghetti

take one package of Costcos all ready cut up  rotesary chicken and mix it with 1 small diced onion, 1/2 dieced green pepper, (I used a whole one)  2 cans cream of Mushroom soup ( I think cream of chicken would work just as well)  21/2 cups chedder cheese ( I used half motsarella half chedder) 2 cups chicken broth ( I had some home made in my freezer yummy)  One jar Pimientos and one can of green chillies.  salt pepper, cayenne pepper to taste.  mix mix mix.  then add cooked spaghetti broken into bit sized pieces before cooked.( I used whole wheat and my kids didn't even know)  pour into a 9x13 pan and cover with more cheese (1 more cup, I used parmasan as well)  cook till bubbly 35 min on 350 it was so yummy we didn't have any left overs, I will make this again.  Its from the Pioneer Woman Cooks shes awsome!

Tay loves Basket Ball?

This is so funny. Taylor begged to play basketball, for weeks thats all we heard about.  So Bryan decided to put a team together and coach. We had such a great turn out, everyone wanted to play.  Tay was so excited to play he could hardly stand it.  He had his friends his dad and basket ball what more could he want?  Well.... there is one problem Tay is not agressive on the court, he runs up and down, back and forth and never gets the ball.  He never grabs it from the other team, his team (which is a little older) never really pass to him cause he is just standing in the back ground talking with kids on the other team or trying to figure out what way they are running.  Its so cute but funny when at the end of a game he says I never get the ball.  I tell him to go out a get it, Bry says just have fun.  I think he will turn out more like Bry when he grows up, just out for fun, what happens will happen and hey you get snacks and juice boxes every game what's better than that?

Happy New Year!

I love new years, I don't know why its late we eat too much and the kids are so naughty the next day!  But for that few hours on the 31st we have so much fun with our neighbors.  For the last 3 years we have partied at the Smarts house.  They are so darling to open up their house to us and all the kids. (mine fell asleep while we went out to dinner, so we didn't take them so funny poor things).   We played the funest games this year.  Jack A__ and Mine is?  so funny we were laughing so hard that today it feels like I did a hundred crunches last night, (great workout)  This is what I'm going to work on this year!
1. to say I love you to my family every day!
2. to read the scriptures everyday.
3. to cook 12 new recipies one a month.
4 . to clean out my scrapbook room.
5. to get a new couch upstairs.
6. to save enough money to go on a vacation for my 40th b-day and 20th anniversary.
7. to lose this last 10lb (this is my year, we are starting B.L. this sunday)
8. to keep up the gym 3 days a week, with yoga and wii filling in the other days.
9. to listen to my children better.
10. to keep up with my scrapbooking.
ok so it might not happen but its great to have a goal.  Heres to a great new year 2010

Christmas Day

What a great day! ok when I look back on it a week later  I did seem to forget about all the fighting and whinning and tired little boys!  I hope that my boys felt the Christmas spirit this year.  We went Down Town to stay at the Raddison across from the Delta center on the 23rd.  We ate at Applebee's and watched the Utes play their bowel game.  Then the kids decided it was too cold to go see the lights so they went swimming instead and I got to sink into a king size dreamy bed with my magazines and 8 pillows and a chirtmas movie on the t.v.  The next day we went to the Planetarium to see the new Chirstmas movie, then off lunch at Rumbies, then to see Alvin and the Chipmonks the Squeekal.  So cute.

I was in charge of the hat and glove tree this year at the school and we recieved over 500 hats and gloves!  We took half to the road house, it was humbling to see all the cold homless people. I felt so blessed and ungreatful for what I have.  We took the rest to the Chirstmas box house, where there were 7 to 20 orphans with no where to go for Christmas.  My kids have no idea how blessed they are.
We then got to enjoy dinner up in Bountiful with my dear 85 year old Granny and my relatives.  We love playing the white elephant game and catching up with everyone. (I got to call out the numbers this year) Good day!!!

On Christmas mornning we tell the kids that they cant come upstairs till 7:00. The problem with this is that Bry and I wake up every morning at 5:00am so our minds just wake up at that time.  We decided to watch Family Man and wait for the kids.  It was so fun snuggling with bry in our warm cozy bed no kids screaming yelling or making a mess!  It didn't last at 7:30 the kids had enough waiting and paged us to get up!!!! We had a great time opening all our gifts and eating homade cinnamon rolls.

Then we left for Inkley's and then Rippon's.  what a day, I'm so glad that we have so much family around us. The day after Christmas we celebrate boxing day.  The kids have to give away all the toys they don't use or play with (we do this before Christmas) then they get to open family games. (we play games every Sunday).  I love Christmas and hate to see it end but excited to see what the new year will bring!
