Cruisin' to Cabo

OK I was not excited to go on this little 5 day cruise. It went to Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada. We went with a bunch of people from Bryan's work, the programmers earned a cruise for working so hard in 2008. I met some really nice people that Bryan works with, its so fascinating to see other peoples point of views we are all so different, (that's a great thing).

First stop Cabo, its so beautiful, I loved lovers beach. we were drooped off after paying a water taxi 20 bucks in hopes he would come back at the right time to pick us up. He took us around the most southern point of the Baha peninsula. we saw tons of sea lions pelicans and whales it was so amazing. the beach is between to huge rock formations so lots of sun and shade, I saw more fish here in Mexico than in the Caribbean, however the water is not very clear and its FREEZING! Did I mention the water is very cold?

We saw a lot of sea lions and they were sure loud when we stoped to look at them from the boat, I did take a lot of pictures of them, when we got back to the boat Bry said "you took two pictures of the arch that took millions of years to create and about 20 of the sea loins" I guess I got carried away.

The pelicans were so gross the whole rock was white from well you know, I boat driver didn't speak much English and when I asked him why there were so many pelicans he shrugged his shoulders and said lots of fish. Makes sense.
then it was off to Ensenada, there was a group that had been two weeks previous to our cruise, they had found this little out of the way empanada place. It was so good, i was a little nervous to eat local food but it was so yummy! I would eat that every day for lunch if I could. And believe it or not I did not get sick, what a relief!
Ok I was taken off guard a little when Bry took this picture but look how cute and small it is, it had a bar that went all the way around in a U shape and they cooked right in front of you, it was pretty fun. We rented golf carts and off we went to explore the city, we saw a great Cathedral, it was so beautiful, still couldn't hold a candle to the Draper temple.

The word is TACKLE

OK so here is my first entry on one of my favorite words! TACKLE, when I put this word on my list, I thought it might mean "I need to tackle a project!" or lets tackle this big mess I did not mean for it to be a literal tackle like " lets all tackle Tanner!" The boys are out of school today for Martin Luther King day and its only 11:48am they have been so loud and crazy and yes TACKLING every thing and every body. I wish it wasn't so cold out (right now its 33) I would send them right out side, but whats a mom to do they did do there job for the day so now its Wii or T.V.

I can't let that happen, (I need to finish Brittons Mural in his room today) so when I suggested they make a fort out of the cushions they said OK if we can have a beanie baby war which consists of throwing little beanie baby's at each other resulting in Taylor and Britton in tears every time, not to mention all the little dings in the walls when the eyes hit the wall at 20miles an hour! But whats a mom to do and whats a clean Basement its just going to get messy again and we are building memories right? I guess when I'm done with Brittons room I can just touch up the basement walls too.

OK so here is the funny thing about me, I get side tracked I didn't publish my blog this morning because I the phone rang, well.... I got busy painting the mural and the kids played drag racing, wars and yes TACKLE Frisbee in the house, all was right in the world. But then the phone rang again just as I was finishing up Brittons room I reached for the vacuum to take it out of the room and it caught on a gallon of white paint yes you heard me right. (and Yes it's the second gallon of paint to be spilt on our new carpet the first being Taylor and the red paint). This was taken after 1hr and 20min of using the carpet cleaner and I'm just exhausted. I will have to work on it a little more to night but right now I'm going to take a break and drink a cup of hot chocolate (I wish I had something strong to put in it! I have one more day of all the kids at home, I'm not staying home I don't want to get into any more messes while Bryan is away on his business trip.

one little word

I love to scrapbook and I got this idea for scrap booking but I will use it on my blog this year. I sat down and wrote some of my favorite words, once a week I will use that word and create a scrapbook page or blog entry about one of my wonderful words. Here are a few or a lot of the ones I just love!

valor sparkle motivation unplug tackle observe seasons priceless refine serendipity reflect present favorite sanctuary simplify thrive perspective delight adore inspire why adventure pray enjoy life welcome glow surprise light serene truthful flourish Peace life perfect delight treasure listen precious sunshine carpe diem grace forgive wait cheerfulness joy thankful journey optimistic harmony relax love complete vibrant moments pause organized worship play cozy strength illuminate complete.

I'm sure as the weeks go on I will write more on my favorite word card. I hope it will help me to live a little bit deeper and fuller. I have a great life I want my goal this year to be to focus on having a richer life by being more grateful for what I all ready have.

Austin is 16 Yikes!

Ok so I wanted Bryan to wright this blog cause he is the one who went with Austin. All I have to go on is the pictures and Austins words or it was so Awesome when can we do it again? It looked like so much fun I would love to try it one day maybe an exalted date night, does anyone want to come? After they flew they went surfing on the flow rider, bry and I have done this on a Cruise ship and it was so much fun, we spent hours there every day it was fun to see everybody wipe out! Here inside you can surf for hours no long lines or tan lines (I don't know if thats such a great thing)

This is Ashley Anderson a family friend, her dad works with Bryan and we have been hanging out with their family for years, she is so cute and not yet 16 so of course all the dads plus grandpa went with them to act as chaperons.
