Capistrano 2009

this years Capistrano trip was just delightful! We didn't have any big plans, we just thought we would do what we wanted to do this year, so that is exactly what we did. We drove down on Friday and played in the ocean that night and

universal was so much fun I didn't think the kids would like it as much as Disney Land but they did. I love that we have the VIP pass we got to the front of every line. We did everything 2 and 3 times, probably because we spent 2 days there.

eat me eat me that's what Tay kept saying, and Austin chimed in with Yeah eat him!

We ate smores with peanut butter on the beach m0st nights, so yummy my mouth is watering just thinking about it! Papa took me and Austin to Crystal cove and we got the most beautiful sea shells!
Bry had always wanted to fish of the shore, so this year I said stop talking about it and just do it! he and the kids caught 10 reef sharks and one Manta Ray. We let them all go and then I got thinking this is where my kids are boogie boarding scary!

Why do I live in Utah? I love love love California. I think the only way I would live there would be if I was on the beach or could see the ocean from my deck! I love the ocean, it is so soothing. We slept with the windows open and were awakened in the middle of the night by some crashing waves, but were soon lulled back to sleep.
The first day I spent in the louge chair, my poor mom had to play 50 games of go fish with Tay cause I didn't want to move. I read three books in a week that has got to be my record! I could spend hours looking at the waves walking in the waves looking for sea glass we found a lot of little ones and a few big pieces. That is the number one place time looking for sea glass, My mom said if anyone found a red piece she would give us 25$ that's how rare and hard to find it is. Bry did find one tiny tiny piece but wouldn't sell it. It took us 7 years at the beach house to find one so I guess he thinks he's pretty special.
We celebrated our 19 wedding anniversary eating Sushi at a shee-shee restaurant down at Dana Point called, it was so yummy I could eat the tuna plain with nothing else it melted in my mouth!

Chauntels wedding

Chauntel was just a little girl when I got married and just look at her now all grown up and starting her married life with Leif.I love weddings, especially when I don't have to do anything but show up! Chauntel got married in the Salt Lake Temple on May 16th. She looked so beautiful. They looked so happy to get started on their life together. It just seems like yesterday that Bry and I were getting married, but that was 19 years ago this June. Time just flies by, where does it go. what have I done in those 19 years?
could I be any skinner? and whats with Bryan and hair I can't believe he ever had any:) Raising my four boys. Some times I think back on what I might have done different, but I should not remember the "could have bens" I must remember the wonderful little things that passes by me unappreciated, like warm Lacrosse games, good friend lunches, long talks with Bryan on the porch, my kids playing with water balloons all summer long. We forget the little things and seem to focus on all the big woes of the day. My goal is to look closer at the small and meaningful things in my life right now. My church my family and my friends all dear and all loved because of all the wonderful little things they bring into my life.

I'm finished with my first summer project!

this is my sideboard before the paint. Bryan built this for me 5 years ago with MDF and its too heavy to move so I had to paint it with a brush so its not as smooth as I would like.

Ok I painted my table it took 3 days. I had to sand it, take it apart and spray it with primer and 2 coats of paint. I think it turned out OK. I still need to find the knobs (they will be glass) and some cool stuff to put on it as the old stuff looks tired and out dated. Any way it was way fun to do and I can't wait to paint the wall upstairs.

I do however need to paint the bathrooms. Bry surprised me when I went to New York with a new bathroom color. I think its a little bit nursery blue and needs to be toned down a little. I have chosen a beautiful light gray green that will be beautiful. It looks like I will be painting all summer long. good thing I love projects!
